CM Balochistan claimed that 75 terrorists had been killed in various operations since July 5 in Balochistan, with 17 more being killed in Ziarat District, that day bringing the toll of those killed under Operation Shaban to 43. Pakistani forces killed four TTP insurgents under Commander Zahid in Karak District and one more TTP militant in Peshawar as well as launching helicopter strikes against TTP infrastructure in Tank District. Two Policemen were ambushed and killed in Spinwam by insurgents. Two Lashkar-e-Jhangvi militants were also captured from Karachi. On 11 July, suspected TTP drone strike in Tank District killed a school teacher and wounded two civilians. On 12 July, TTP insurgents killed a CTD officer in Totalai. A mortar strike damaged a house in North Waziristan.
== History == The approach was promulgated as an alternative medicine concept by Andrew Taylor Still, inventor of osteopathy, and his early students. The exact phrase "myofascial release" was coined in the 1960s by Robert Ward, an osteopath who studied with Ida Rolf, the originator of Rolfing. Ward, along with physical therapist John Barnes, are considered the two primary founders of Myofascial Release. Ward also suggests, in other sources, that the term "myofascial release" was coined in 1981, when it was used as the name of a course taught at Michigan State University. It was popularized and taught to therapists, massage therapists and occupational therapists by John F. Barnes through his seminars.
=== In-source fragmentation === Often, the ionization process is sufficiently violent to leave the resulting ions with sufficient internal energy to fragment within the mass spectrometer. If the product ions persist in their non-equilibrium state for a moderate amount of time before auto-dissociation this process is called metastable fragmentation. Nozzle-skimmer fragmentation refers to the purposeful induction of in-source fragmentation by increasing the nozzle-skimmer potential on usually electrospray based instruments. Although in-source fragmentation allows for fragmentation analysis, it is not technically tandem mass spectrometry unless metastable ions are mass analyzed or selected before auto-dissociation and a second stage of analysis is performed on the resulting fragments. In-source fragmentation can be used in lieu of tandem mass spectrometry through the utilization of enhanced in-source fragmentation annotation (EISA) technology which generates fragmentation that directly matches tandem mass spectrometry data. Fragments observed by EISA have higher signal intensity than traditional fragments which suffer losses in the collision cells of tandem mass spectrometers. EISA enables fragmentation data acquisition on MS1 mass analyzers such as time-of-flight and single quadrupole instruments. In-source fragmentation is often used in addition to tandem mass spectrometry (with post-source fragmentation) to allow for two steps of fragmentation in a pseudo MS3-type of experiment.
The talks concluded on 12 April 2026. The negotiations lasted about 21 hours and ended with the United States and Iranian delegations leaving Islamabad without reaching a deal. The main unresolved issues reportedly included Iran's nuclear program and the status of the Strait of Hormuz. Other issues included sanctions relief and frozen assets. While the US side insisted on a phased relief linked to compliance, Iran demanded comprehensive lifting of sanctions and release of assets, including $6 billion in frozen assets, as a precondition to a meaningful deal. Iranian officials said they had not expected an agreement to be reached in a single round of talks and that contacts were expected to continue. Pakistani officials described the talks as part of an effort to preserve the ceasefire and encourage further diplomacy between the parties. Iran's minister of foreign affairs Abbas Araghchi claimed that they were "inches away from an MoU" and accused the US delegation of moving the goalposts and maximalizing. More broadly, the Iranian delegation believed that Washington had to do more to earn their trust. According to an analysis in Iran International, Iran's diplomacy following the failure of the talks has been to express defiance towards American pressure while leaving the possibility of future diplomacy still open. Trump claimed that Iran had "knowingly failed" to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, and Vance said that Iran had refused the possibility of not developing nuclear weapons.

== Effectiveness == While methadone clinics are generally considered to be effective treatment options for patients addicted to opioids, especially when other interventions have failed, there is controversy surrounding the placement of methadone clinics. There is a perception that the presence of the clinics attracts crime to surrounding areas. However, one study by the University of Maryland School of Medicine found that crime rates do not increase when a methadone clinic is opened. Another study by University of Pennsylvania found within a 200 m radius, the presence of a methadone clinic causes a significant decrease in property and total crime but a significant increase in drug and violent crime. A 2004 GAO study notes that placement of clinics can impede recovery and exacerbate relapse: "Although these clinics are intended to help those in need of rehabilitation, patients who seek treatment must navigate their way to and from the clinics in an environment in which illegal sales of narcotics are daily occurrences. The efforts of patients who are seeking rehabilitation, and clinic professionals who serve them, are significantly undermined by this criminal activity that surrounds them." Between 70 and 90% of patients who discontinue methadone maintenance will relapse. The high relapse rate may be partially due to the severity of cases seen at methadone clinics, as well as the long-term effects of opioid use. Some patients stay on methadone for the rest of their lives, which generates criticism regarding the effectiveness of the clinics.

=== Vitriols === The study of vitriols (hydrated sulfates of various metals forming glassy minerals from which sulfuric acid can be derived) began in ancient times. Sumerians had a list of types of vitriol that they classified according to the substances' color. Some of the earliest discussions on the origin and properties of vitriol is in the works of the Greek physician Dioscorides (first century AD) and the Roman naturalist Pliny the Elder (23–79 AD). Galen also discussed its medical use. Metallurgical uses for vitriolic substances were recorded in the Hellenistic alchemical works of Zosimos of Panopolis, in the treatise Phisica et Mystica, and the Leyden papyrus X. Medieval Islamic alchemists like the Jabirian authors (those writing under the name of Jabir ibn Hayyan [died c. 806 – c. 816, known in Latin as Geber]), Abu Bakr al-Razi (865–925, known in Latin as Rhazes), Ibn Sina (980–1037, known in Latin as Avicenna), and Muhammad ibn Ibrahim al-Watwat (1234–1318) included vitriol in their mineral classification lists.
